Hi! I’m Duncan, a NSCF certified personal trainer in Victoria, BC.

The first step is simply getting to know one another - during your consultation, we’ll have a friendly conversation focused entirely on you.

We’ll explore your training history, goals, areas of concern, and schedule. This will help us determine if we’re a good fit to work together.


2. First Session & Assessment

During your assessment, we’ll go through a simple workout to identify your strengths and areas for improvement. This helps me build the right fitness plan for you.

Unlike the high-pressure gym tests you may remember from school, this is an enjoyable & natural extension of the exercises chosen for your goals.

After the workout, we’ll have a conversation about your nutrition, and we’ll discuss basic goals and strategies that fit your lifestyle.


3. Your Workouts & Check-Ins

This is where the fun begins!

After your assessment, I’ll create a customized plan tailored to your unique needs and goals. We’ll meet regularly for one-on-one sessions to tackle your plan together.

Each session will be designed to keep things fresh and engaging while staying aligned with your program. I’ll bring the energy, the workouts, and all the equipment you need.


4. Your Personalized Plan & Resources

As we begin, you will also receive a personalized plan uniquely tailored to your needs and goals. Your plan will feature a custom fitness program, clearly defined nutrition targets, and the exact resources you need to maintain your progress.

  • I offer personalized training based on your specific (A) goals, (B) abilities and (C) interests.

    Programs generally fall under the big umbrellas of: muscle building, weight loss, strength, cardio, flexibility & stretching, or boxing. Most clients have a primary objective, but sessions often include a mix of exercises from different areas to enhance results and keep the workout engaging.

    For example, a weight-loss session might include boxing and strength training, while a muscle-building program could incorporate stretching to improve mobility.

    Whether your program is highly focused or well-rounded, every session is designed to help you progress effectively and enjoyably.

  • My primary goal is to leave every client in better shape than I found them, and injury management is a key part of that process. Training is highly individualized, with a strong focus on what movements and types of training you can safely do.
